Pippus has had a very successful career at �þ���Ƶ since joining in 2022. In his third season as bench boss, the team has consistently placed second in regular season play, with total record 47-19 (19-5 this past season).

At provincials, the team won bronze in 2023 and silver the following year, sending them to the national championship. At nationals, the team finished in fourth place, a best finish in Chargers MBB history. This season, the team claimed PACWEST bronze and Pippus was named Coach of the Year.

“The success that men’s basketball has had on the court under Geoff’s tutelage is merely a reflection of his broader impact on the student-athletes he has led; he was an exemplary program leader from the outset,” said Cory Ahlers, Athletics Events Officer. “He is highly regarded by his athletes, respected by his peers, and is a cornerstone of the local basketball community. Notably, Geoff has excelled in program development, consistently maximizing its potential each season while nurturing a student-centred transformative environment.”

“His commitment to ethical standards fosters a positive culture, and as a coach, he consistently demonstrates his dedication to the development of outstanding individuals as people and as student-athletes,” added Ahlers. “The Chargers stand proud of Geoff, and wish him ongoing success as he transitions into a well-deserved promotion.”

�þ���Ƶ currently fields teams in basketball and volleyball. Since joining the CCAA and PACWEST conferences in 1994, the Chargers have competed in over 100 national and provincial championships with over 50 medal winning finishes. The Chargers basketball and volleyball programs are proud to welcome guests and visitors to their home in the  (PISE) on �þ���Ƶ's Interurban campus.
